Review of 2019

Merry Christmas everyone. 2019 has been a successful year for the company.

In 2019, Dataflexnet introduced two new services, SharePay and FlexId, designed specifically to help the payment processing industry overcome the challenge of recently introduced security and data sharing regulations.

Michael Cliffe, CTO and Director of Dataflexnet explains: ”We designed SharePay to be simple, secure and PCI DSS compliant. It is flexible, scale-able, will assist your compliance programme, and sits comfortably within most existing communication channels”.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding Brexit, the UK FinTech sector has continued its strong growth and, while technologies such as CryptoCurrency and Artificial Intelligence grab the headlines, it is services such as SharePay and FlexId provided by Dataflexnet that are helping to provide the ”glue” that holds together major parts of the payment processing infrastructure.

Since 1996, Dataflexnet has forged strong partnerships with global brand leaders, firmly establishing the company as a major international player in the business travel sector and payment processing industry, but Dataflexnet is keen to raise its local profile too.

As a Stafford-based business, Dataflexnet feels strongly that it is important to support the local developer community too and have begun sponsorship of the StaffsWebMeetUp, a networking event for developers, academics and web professionals held monthly in Stafford.

Dataflexnet is also a long-standing sponsor of the CPI Global Summits and were pleased to attend events in London, Singapore and New York.  These events provided an ideal opportunity to discuss the latest legal and regulatory issues related card payments, and how we are able to improve the customer payment experience with SharePay.

Dataflexnet will again be sponsoring the CPI Europe Summit in Amsterdam in March 2020, plus others around the world during the remainder of 2020.

In August, Dataflexnet not only sponsored, but also entered 2 teams into the Portishead Soapbox Challenge. The two teams (incorrectly called ”Data-Flash-Net” by the race commentator) designed and built their own Go-Carts to negotiate the course. There were numerous ”spills” and ”thrills” along the way as the team helped the event raise over £20,000 for charity.

Although 2019 has been a successful year, Dataflexnet CEO, Reza Satongar is focused on the future: ”2020 promises to be another exciting year as Dataflexnet continues to develop solutions to support the business travel and card payment industries. UK FinTech is experiencing a real boom at the moment and if we are to achieve our long-term ambitions, we need to increase the number of developers we attract into this exciting field. Next year we will be actively looking for talented developers to join our development teams to continue to support the expansion of our business.”

“I want to thank all of our staff and our customers for helping to make 2019 so successful for Dataflexnet and we look forward to even greater success in 2020. Merry Christmas!”
